Everything I wore this week (and what I wore it for) + some things that I’ve been lovely lately. The first three looks of the week are available to all subscribers; paid subscribers will get access to the full week in outfits (aka what I wear with my kids + on weekends). Is this something you’d like to see more of? Because it’s Sunday, and I’m trying to wrap this up before it gets too late, let’s dive right in.
MONDAY

Wearing Harris Tapper Top, Bassike pants (old), Tibi sandals, Dragon Diffusion bag, Monica Vinader bangles (20% off with code JAMIELEEBMV)
I work Monday through Wednesday, often doing video calls or sitting at my desk which calls for something that looks smart, but feels comfortable to wear. Enclothed cognition - the concept that how we dress influences our behaviours and feelings - clearly at play as I like to put some work into dressing up. This Harris Tapper top is great as it’s all business up top; you’d never know I’m wearing an elasticated waist trouser. The heels with the snake print are there to add in a little bit of visual interest.
TUESDAY

Wearing Grana tank, Deiji Studios pants, Helmut Lang utility jacket, Sezane patent flats, Reh Studios bag
A lot more casual than I’d usually go on a work day, this feels more representative of the sort of outfit I’d wear around my kids (all black because it’s practical!). Long column of colour increasing the vertical, while the utility jacket adds in some soft contrast. Lots of Q’s about this Reh Studios bag - personally for me, it’s a love. Ultra chic silhouette, with two long compartments and a decent strap drop for wearing on the shoulder with jackets. If we’re being super nitpicky, I do wish it had a zip up compartment inside, though haven’t had any issues with things falling out when the bag is securely closed.
WEDNESDAY

Wearing Nothing Written shirt, Everlane jeans, Andersons belt, Reh Studios bag, Aeyde heels
This outfit inspired my monthly style prompt for March (which you can read here, if you haven’t already); the barrel leg jeans I’m so excited to finally have back on rotation after putting them on “ice” over the summer. For interesting silhouettes like this I tend to opt for more simple styling. But what helps to lift this look is the bright blue shirt. Instantly eye catching and does distract a little from the more sculpted style of the pants. A good note if you’re thinking about how to integrate an unusual silhouette into your everyday looks.
